I thought I should pay respect to our American military who are over seas fighting to protect us and our families. A prayer goes out to all the families who have someone over seas or whom may have passed away. I cant wait until this journey and struggle is all over and our loved ones can come back to us. This is a real dog-tag that belongs to my father who was in the Army. He is still with us today and all I have to say is, Thank you to my grandfather, dad, and step-dad for putting in your time to protect us and Thank you to our Military today for fighting what each generation has fought for. I pray for a safe return to our troops around the world!
Stay Grounded
August 20, 2010Staying down to earth and being grounded is a great quality anyone can have. This tattoo is a Chinese symbol that represents the earth element. I thought it would be appropriate to surround the symbol with it’s natural element. Keep your feet firmly on the ground and nothing can knock you down, it reminds you to stay humble and stay grounded. Thanks to my sister for letting me take a picture of her tattoo and always staying down to Earth.
Seashells at the Seashore
July 28, 2010
I thought this was so cool I just had to take a picture of it! On the beautiful sands of Daytona Beach anyone can see how the shells are laying on the sand like if it is the bottom of the ocean. It is an easy way to look around for your favorite shell or even pick up many shells and get creative. Go during a low tide and you might see the same thing.
Family Beauty
July 20, 2010
You know, I don’t ever really know what to say about my photos. I always like leave the interpretation up to the person who is viewing it. Some photos are more obvious than others such as this one, but something you should know is that I love the look of black and white. It gives the photo a more classic and timeless look. I was able to capture the beauty of a growing family and to me the shadowing with the darkness complements the beautiful shinning light coming form above, which is a great metaphor for the wonderful addition that is soon to come. The beauty of family is so wonderful to share.
Finding Dollars in the Ocean
July 18, 2010It’s not that easy to find a sand dollar at the beach but it is possible. Although it’s possible to fine one, it’s even harder to keep a sand dollar in one peace after its all dried up. I was extremely disappointed when I was finally able to find a sand dollar to surprise my boyfriend, because he has been wanting to find one for some time now, and by the time i got it home it was in about six little pieces. After my initial disappointment I realized my passion for taking pictures saved me. I was still able to capture the beauty of this unique, mysterious creature with a few photos and I am so glad I did. Hope you enjoy.
